Opening Salvo
Well, what a mess us poor fucking humans can make of things eh?
Finally, the British public turn out and vote - they never really bothered before, which is why we got so many governments no one admitted to supporting. And I wish they fucking hadn't. I thought I was happy accepting the will of the democratic majority, but No. I am not.
Anyhow, Brexit is surely coming, and for day to day lives, apart from a bit of a recession, travel restrictions and the need to apply for VISAs from the French, little will noticeably change.
Unnoticeably however, its shit-pie time. Just a personal opinion, but I reckon we're going to face:
1. a massive ten years of environmental de-regulation because not flushing industrial by-products into the nearest watercourse is 'red-tape'
2. ten years of agricultural deregulation, because wiping out bees - essential for the pollination of loads of plants we depend on for our very lives - is essential for farmers to be able to keep paying their loans off.
3. a rise in hate crime. People whose political opinions come from action movies and talking to other wankers in the pub feel safe enough to tell people to go back to where they come from, and burn out someone's shop because they can't pronounce their surname. They didn't dare before, but now they've interpreted the vote as approval for their shit, rather than realising the people are silent around them because no one knows what to say to cunts like that.
4. a load more civil liberties erosions, especially now we don't have Europe 'telling us what to do.' We lost the right to remain silent in the '90s in the same because John Major didn't like raves, and I reckon we'll see a load of limitations on political protest, probably on the grounds that it creates litter, or stresses out council officials therefore . Something like that.
Well, fuck that. I am doing something about it, if I can.
Immediately after Brexit, I committed to spending ten minutes a day - although I 'm not too strict about it, because now I am of course free of European Regulation- doing something political. Ten minutes was the time I wasted voting, and I reckon I can do more without legitimising the talent show of the politically ambitious and morally absent.
So here we go! Follow me as I realise that listening to Rage Against the Machine and watching Fight Club won't bring down capitalism. Follow Me, as I realise that online petitions generate spam. FOLLOW ME as I show you that you wouldn't want to.
Alternatively, if you are offended by my interest in politics, if you think Brexit has happened and its time we all shut up and kept on consuming, then OFF you FUCK.

Joking aside, I am following you. Not literally, you understand. Have set up Direct Debits for 38 Degrees and Unicef. Tomorrow will be writing to MP re environment. We march as one small, unlikely, improbable army. With lots of tea breaks.
